In the port city of Marseille in Southern France, interior designer Benoit Palas of Mason Palas reimagined this once dark and heavily partitioned apartment by removing walls and introducing large curved openings that connect the spaces and draw light deep into the home. The kitchen is kept minimal and efficient, with white cabinetry, integrated appliances, and Mediterranean-style niches encouraging a pared-back approach to storage, while a custom wall-mounted dining table with soft curves improves movement through the compact space. Throughout the apartment, curved openings, bold materials, and clever furniture choices bring practicality and personality to the interior, including a stainless steel kitchen cabinet repurposed as a living room sideboard and a raised platform bed clad in Gucci wallpaper.
